WOW TIME FLIES!!!

I guess I have been busy... haven't had a chance to post for a while. We have had an eventful last 6-7 months for sure. On the one hand we are now expecting baby number 2 and are VERY excited about it!!! Due date is August 11, 2009. Ella also turned 2 on Dec. 14th. It is so hard to believe. She is such a lovable little girl and Chad and I feel so blessed. We have also had some sadness with Kai's accident in November and many travels back and forth to CO. But, through prayer and faith Kai is healing and doing better every day....

Summer FUN!!

I have had the joy of being home with Ella this summer and we have had such fun. We have settled into a daily routine where we go to the gym after breakfast and she is loving playing with the kids there at the daycare. After that we usually run our errands then come home for lunch and playtime. She is taking 2-3 hour naps after lunch each day so this gives me some time to get things done that I can't do while she is awake.

She loves to swim and finally has her own swing set in the backyard so we have really enjoyed that. I can't believe my baby is already 18 months old. She talks like she is 5 - loves to say "have a good day" and all kinds of other funny things. She definitely is the light of our lives.

Ella is growing so fast! She is so talkative and her teachers always comment on how vast her vocabulary is. She is really a hoot and repeats EVERYthing so we must be very careful.... She LOVES Elmo and Big Bird and of course Cinderella, who she calls "Rella".

We have a park next to our house so we go there frequently.... she really loves that.

We are headed to her first Easter egg hunt this weekend. That should be fun!

I can't believe it has been a year since we were blessed with this precious, perfect little girl. Time sure flies when you are having fun, that is for sure. Ella is developing a huge vocabulary, saying everything from turtle to please and all kinds of things in between. We had her first birthday party and she enjoyed the cake but I think she liked the ice cream better!

We had a FUN Halloween and Ella Grace was a turtle. She is moving all over- picking up new words here and there- she now says "ME!" when she wants something. She is more precious every day and we are so blessed.

Ella Grace is now an official Crawler!! She is moving faster than we can keep up with her. She is loving daycare and keeping busy exploring with her new skill.

She is saying mama, dada, Hi Bo, and Bye now. :)

Ella is now up on all fours with some help and will rock back and forth. She thinks this whole thing is pretty neat but she still isn't ready to actually crawl yet. Mama and Daddy can't believe how quickly she is changing and growing into a big girl.

Chad and Britt on Vacation in the Bahamas

Ella is 8 months old now! I can't believe it. She learned to wave while Mommy and Daddy were in the Bahamas on vacation, and it is so cute. I picked her up at daycare yesterday and she started waving hysterically as soon as she saw me! I started back to work this week and start teaching next week for the fall semester. I hate ot have to leave her again but my schedule is very flexible so that is a blessing. Chad is still enjoying his job and keeps busy taking care of the yard and house in his time off.

Miss Ella now has three teeth!!! She just had a third one come through on the top. We have been over to Grandma and Grandpa McConchie's swimming this weekend and she loves the water!!

Ella now has 2 teeth and is trying like mad to crawl. She has mastered getting around in her crib and can go from one end to the other so we figure crawling is not far off! Here is a recent picture of our bundle of joy!

Daddy and Ella Grace

With the addition of Ella and all of the exciting things she is doing I thought starting a blog would be a great way to keep everyone informed of her growth and progress! Especially for family and friends who live far away.

Chad is still enjoying his job, as am I- especially the being off in the summer part of mine!! :)

Ella is now sitting up on her own, loves peek-a boo, and also is dying to get to Bo. He will walk close as though to tempt her and then run away before she gets a chance to grab him. I think eventually they will be great pals as she smiles every time he comes close.

Chad's birthday came and went on the 4th of July and Ella had a new bikini expecially for the big day. We head off to the Bahamas for a week's vacation on August 3. Ella will be staying with Nana and Grandpa McConchie in Clearwater for the first few days and then with my Mom here at our house in Lakeland the last part of our trip.
